1May 24th, 2013 - On a chilly, late May weekend Bub McCool traveled to NAPA Wayne County Speedway (Orrville, Ohio) on Friday evening to open a three day swing with a $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model event. Thirty entries filled the pits, and a sixth place finish in the first heat race positioned him starting sixteenth on the grid for the 50 lap finale. Even though preliminary action left him starting deep in the field he raced past ten cars on his way to a sixth place finish behind race winner, Dave Hess Jr., Josh Richards, Darrell Lanigan, Rick Eckert, and Chub Frank.

Saturday night took the team to Tyler County Speedway (Middlebourne, West Virginia) for the opening round of Jackpot 100, which posted a $6,000 winner's check for the WoO program. Thirty-four entries registered for battle, and struggles in time trials left Bub starting sixth in his heat race. He would be unable to advance any spots as he finished sixth, which sent him to a b-main. The b-main again found him failing to advance any positions, and as a result he utilized a series' provisional to start the feature in the 23rd position. The main event found him finally getting things in gear as he raced forward twelve spots to record an eleventh place finish.

Sunday evening found the purse increased to $15,000-to-win, and McCool started the night on a much better note as he charged from the fourth starting spot to win his heat race to lock into the redraw for the feature. In the redraw he was the recipient of the second starting spot as he joined Josh Richards on the front row. When the green flag dropped McCool bolted to the lead and paced the field for the first twenty-one circuits before Darrell Lanigan slipped past for the lead. A few laps later Richards pushed McCool back to the third spot, and that's where he would cross the finish line.

Bub is now eighth in the latest standings. For complete event results from the weekend and the latest standings please visit www.WoOLMS.com.

May 18th, 2013 - Bub McCool enjoyed a rare opportunity to race close to home on Saturday night as he entered a $2,500-to-win, Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Model event at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi).

Twenty-three competitors took to the 1/4 mile oval, and via preliminary action Bub earned the second starting spot for the feature alongside Ross Camponovo. During the course of the main event McCool battled for the top spot with Camponovo, and despite several daring slide jobs was unable to take over the lead. He would go on to settle for a second place finish behind Camponovo. Showah, Rick Rickman, and Ashley Newman rounded out the top five finishers. 1May 11th, 2013 - While Mother Nature did her best to claim wins in both of the weekend's World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Model events, officials were able to do some shuffling, and on Saturday evening the tour invaded I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) for a $10,000-to-win program.

The race marked the first-ever time for the tour to invade the 1/4 mile oval as twenty-seven entries registered for battle. A third place finish for McCool locked him into the eighth starting spot for the 50 lap finale. In the main event he raced in the top five for much of the event before settling into a sixth place finish at the checkered flag.
