1October 26th, 2013 - For the second week in a row Bub McCool competed at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) as he took part in the 19th Annual Coors Light Fall Classic at the 1/3 mile oval.

Forty-two Super Late Models entered the event, and a 4th place finish in his heat race left him one spot short of locking into the feature on Friday night. As a result he started on the pole of a b-main on Saturday evening in his #57J McCool Logging/Victory Circle by Moyer/Jay Dickens Super Late Model and would go on to finish 3rd, which locked him into the 23rd starting spot for the $15,000-to-win finale.

He advanced a few spots in the field early in the 100 lapper before ultimately retiring to a 20th place finish in the final rundown.

October 19th, 2013 - Bub traveled to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Prelude to the Fall Classic at the 1/3 mile oval. Bub started his night by blazing to fast time honors to earn the pole position for the feature event with Eric Cooley joining him on the front row.

As the feature went green Cooley bolted to the lead, and McCool chased him for the duration of the feature before registering a 2nd place finish. Full results from the racing program are available at www.WhynotMotorsportsPark.com.

The $20,000-to-win race drew a field of 52 entries to the 3/8 mile oval, and in heat race action on Friday night Bub earned the pole position for his heat race via time trials before racing to a 3rd place finish to lock into the 16th starting spot for Saturday night's finale. In the 100 lap feature he raced his way to a 12th place finish at the checkered flag.

October 5th, 2013 - While the weekend may have started on a sour note, by the time the final checkered flag dropped on the 7th Annual Gumbo Nationals Bub McCool had claimed the $7,500 victory for the third, straight year.

Thirty-two entries took part in the event, which was sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS), at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi). Bub started on the second row of his heat race on Friday night, but a skirmish on the first lap of his heat race resulted in damage and forced him pitside.

As a result he started deep in a b-main on Saturday night, and his struggles wouldn't finish there as he was involved in an early-race caution, which sent him to the tail of the field. Despite going to the tail he rebounded to finish 2nd, which locked McCool into the 20th starting spot for the 75 lap finale.

Under threatening skies the main event was rushed to the grid, and when the green flag dropped McCool wasted little time working his way forward through the pack. By lap 10 he ran in the 5th spot, and just fifteen laps later he rocketed past leader, Chris Wall, for the top spot. Once out front Bub outran the rain and a few close calls with lapped traffic to score his fourth win of the year, which came over Brian Rickman, Robert Baker, Chris Wall, and Neil Baggett.

"The car was amazing in the feature, and I can't thank my crew and sponsors enough," commented McCool. "However, I want to apologize to my fans and all of the children, who heard my language in the victory lane interview. I was really upset over something said, but I shouldn't have used that language. I apologize to everyone who heard my words."
