1September 28th, 2013 - Bub McCool piloted Chad Stapleton's #57 Barry Wright Super Late Model at Knoxville Raceway (Knoxville, Iowa) on Thursday evening in the opening round of the 10th Annual Lucas Oil Knoxville Late Model Nationals.

Seventy-two entries entered the program, and via qualifying McCool earned the 3rd starting spot for his heat race. He would go on to race his way to the heat race win, which positioned him starting 13th on the grid for the feature event. In the 25 lap, $7,000-to-win preliminary feature McCool mounted a great charge as he advanced to a 5th place finish behind race winner, Josh Richards, Darrell Lanigan, Jason Feger, and Dale McDowell.

After his solid performance on Thursday evening, Bub stood solid in the points for Saturday's program, and as a result the team decided to experiment with setups in Friday's program. Seventy cars returned for action, and and struggles with the handle in time trials left Bub starting 9th in his heat race. He advanced to a 7th place finish in his heat, which sent him to the pole of the C-main. Struggles in the C-main found him slipping to a 6th place finish, and with only the top four finishers moving onto the B-main McCool's night came to an early end.

Via his preliminary night performances Bub locked into the 16th starting spot for Saturday night's, $40,000-to-win finale. As the 100 lap feature went green McCool began battling the handle on his entry as he slipped back in the field. As a result he would retire from the event to a 30th place finish in the event's early laps.

1September 21st, 2013 - The 2nd Annual Keyser Manufacturing Down 'N Dirty 100 presented by NAPA Auto Parts was held over the weekend at Berlin Raceway (Berlin, Michigan). The WoO sanctioned, $20,000-to-win event was originally slated for Friday and Saturday, but wet conditions on Friday forced the program to be condensed into a single $15,000-to-win show on Saturday evening.

Thirty-three Super Late Models registered for action, and Bub raced to a 2nd place finish in his heat race to earn a spot in the redraw for the feature. The redraw presented him with the 2nd starting spot for the 75 lap finale as he started alongside Rick Eckert. As the race went green McCool assumed the 3rd position, and he would run in the top five for much of the event before damage to the nose of his #57J Victory Circle by Moyer entry resulted in an ill-handling car. He would go on to battle the handle on his mount over the closing laps as he faded to a 10th place finish.

1September 14th, 2013 - It was back on the dusty trail with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Models over the weekend with a pair of $10,000-to-win events in Illinois and Missouri.

The tiny confines of Belle-Clair Speedway (Belleville, Illinois) played host to the tour on Friday night as a strong field of 47 entries locked to conquer the 1/5 mile oval. Struggles in heat race action left Bub short of transferring to the feature, but a 2nd place finish in his b-main locked him into the 20th starting spot for the 50 lap feature. In the main event Bub mounted a great charge through the field reaching as high as the 3rd position before ultimately settling into a 7th place finish.

On Saturday night the traveling circus rolled into Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri) for a 55 lap, slug fest. In the main event the team unfortunately missed the setup as McCool faded to a 12th place finish.

September 7th, 2013 - Bub McCool piloted an MSR Mafia-themed entry owned by Chad Stapleton Racing over the weekend at the 43rd Annual World 100 at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio).

On Thursday evening 112 entries participated in the opening program, which saw the field divided into two $5,000-to-win events. Bub started his night by earning the pole position for his heat race via qualifications, and he made the most of the opportunity by rocketing to the win to lock into the pole position for the 25 lap, preliminary feature. Jeep Van Wormer snagged the lead at the drop of the green flag, and McCool would challenge for the top spot on a couple of occasions before settling for a 2nd place finish behind race winner, Van Wormer.

Friday night found the field again split in half for a pair of $5,000-to-win events, and the team would try a setup that just didn't work, and as a result Bub fell short of qualifying for the feature.

On Saturday evening the finale for the prestigious event was held at the 1/2 mile oval, and via his qualifying night performances as well as an invert of six McCool started on the pole of the third heat race. After near disaster on a few occasions due to chaotic racing Bub would finish 3rd to lock into the 15th starting spot for the 100 lap, $46,000-to-win finale. McCool went on to enjoy a great run in front of the capacity crowd of over 23,000 as he raced to an 11th place finish.

Friday night saw the winner's check increased to $10,000-to-win with the World of Outlaws (WoO) Super Late Models sanctioning the program. With 23 entries in the pit area Bub earned the 11th starting spot for the 50 lap feature. He would race to as high as the 5th position before contact from Darrell Lanigan sent him spinning. After rejoining the tail of the field McCool rebounded to an 11th place finish.

On Saturday the WoO tour sanctioned their first-ever event at Selinsgrove Speedway (Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania) as 35 Super Late Models registered for action at the historic, 1/2 mile oval. Heat race action found Bub battling tooth and nail for a transfer spot, and he would achieve his goal by finishing 4th to lock into the 14th starting spot for the 40 lap, $8,000-to-win finale. In the feature he advanced into the top ten early in the event before ultimately slipping to a 14th place finish in the final rundown.

Bub's weekend drew to a close on Sunday night with the 15th Annual National Open at Selinsgrove Speedway as a $10,000 winner's check was posted. Thirty-six Super Late Models filled the pit area, and heat race action found McCool falling just short of locking into the feature. As a result he was forced to run a b-main, where he raced to a 2nd place finish to lock into the 19th starting spot for the finale. He would go on to advance four spots to a 15th place finish at the checkered flag.
